I’m absolutely giddy and grateful and pleased and all those good things . . . to say that my next book, tentatively titled Release the Wolves, will be published in Fall 2022, again by Greenwillow/HarperCollins. Huge thanks to my editor and agent. Here’s the deal announcement from Publishers Weekly:

In further news, my dear little gothic fairy tale Cinders and Sparrows is still going strong and is a finalist for the Vermont Golden Dome Award, previously known as the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Award, one of the oldest children’s book awards in the country. Thank you so much to the committee for picking it!

And The Cabinet of Curiosities: 36 Tales Brief and Sinister was chosen by Book Riot to sit among a host of luminaries like Neil Gaiman (!), Haruki Murakami (!!), and Shirley Jackson (!!!), as one of the 53 best short stories and anthologies . In 2020. More than six years after its release. Thank you, thank you to everyone involved in making these lovely bits of news a reality.
